- Elena was born and raised in Munich. She developed a passion for dancing at an early age and attended a ballet school in Munich for 15 years. There, she learned classical ballet as well as modern styles. Once a year, she took part in a large performance at the Bürgerhaus Unterföhring.
- Even as a teenager, Elena gave private ballet lessons to younger children or choreographed her own dances with small groups. During her semester abroad in France, she also founded a dance group for teenage girls at a children’s home in Strasbourg. In her main job as a social education worker at a special needs school for children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities, it was very important for Elena to be able to pass on her enthusiasm for dance to the students.
- She and Patricia set up their own children’s dance group at her institution. After Elena made contact with our ballet school through her colleague Patricia, she initially gave substitute lessons for the creative dance group for adolescents with intellectual disabilities. She now leads her own creative dance group for children with disabilities on Mondays at 5:30 p.m.
